PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component for an acetabular cup, capable of suppressing induction of osteolysis due to generation of polyethylene powder of a liner, capable of securing sufficient fixing force of a cup to an acetabulum, and further capable of suppressing impairing bone growth.SOLUTION: The cup 11 is formed in a hemisphere shape and is arranged in an acetabulum 100a of a pelvis 100. The fixing mechanism 12 fixes the cup 11 to the acetabulum 100a. A recess part 11b concavely formed is arranged in the outer surface side of the fringe part of the cup 11.
