PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calcium supplement which has excellent calcium absorbability and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A snail is ground including its shell, and, in the obtained ground product, protein is subjected to decomposition treatment with enzyme to produce a calcium supplement. It is preferable that an alkali agent is added to the ground product including the shell of the snail to regulate its pH to 9 to 10, an alkaline protease is added thereto, and protein is subjected to decomposition treatment.【課題】カルシウム吸収性に優れたカルシウム補給剤及びその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】カタツムリを殻ごと粉砕し、得られた粉砕物を酵素によって蛋白質を分解処理してカルシウム補給剤を製造する。カタツムリの殻ごとの粉砕物に、アルカリ剤を添加してｐＨ９～１０に調整し、アルカリプロテアーゼを添加して蛋白質を分解処理することが好ましい。【選択図】なし
