A method for encapsulating a pesticide(for example glyphosate) includes the steps of (a) mixing a first biopolymer which is an alginate with a viscosity from 4 to 100 centipoise (a 1% aqueous solution at 20 centigrade) and a second biopolymer in solution, (b) adding the product of step (a) to a solution of pesticide, and (c) adding a surfactant to the product of step (b).L'invention concerne un procédé d'encapsulation d'un pesticide (par exemple du glyphosate) qui comprend les étapes consistant (a) à mélanger un premier biopolymère qui est un alginate ayant une viscosité de 4 à 100 centipoises (une solution aqueuse à 1 % à 20 °C) et un second biopolymère en solution, (b) à ajouter le produit de l'étape (a) à une solution de pesticide et (c) à ajouter un tensioactif au produit de l'étape (b).
