PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily achieve a decoupling between coil elements even when a plurality of loop coils and a figure eight-shaped coil are combined.
SOLUTION: An RF coil 8b for receiving includes a plurality of loop coils lined in a direction orthogonal to a static magnetic field, and at least two figure eight-shaped coils arranged on a symmetric position with respect to a straight line passing through each center of the loop coils. A distribution and combination circuit generates a plurality of new receiving signals by distributing and combining signals received by the loop coils and the figure eight-shaped coil. In addition, a selecting circuit selects the received signal used for generation of an image among received signals generated by the distribution and combination circuit.
