Preparing two phase forming beverage comprises: mixing milk or milk products having a fat content of 0.1-1 wt.% with water, thickener and sugar; and adding a fruit basic substance material, where the beverage: exhibits a pH of 3.6-4; and is separated into two phases within 24 hours at 6[deg] C. An independent claim is included for the two phase forming beverage obtained by the above process.
