Disclosed is an apparatus and method for detecting a tissue position. The apparatus for detecting a tissue position according to the present invention comprises: a surgery information storage part storing a previously obtained first image related to a bone to be operated； a position measuring part measuring position values of multiple points on the surface of the bone before and after cutting the bone to be operated； and a match control part obtaining a second image which is an image of the bone remaining after cutting, measuring the position of the multiple points on the surface of the bone after cutting, measured by the position measuring part, and matching the position for the second image.조직 위치 감지 장치 및 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명에 따른 조직 위치 감지 장치는, 수술의 대상이 되는 뼈와 관련한 기 파악된 제1 영상을 저장하는 수술정보 저장부, 상기 수술의 대상이 되는 뼈의 절삭 전 및 절삭 후의 뼈 표면에서 복수의 포인트에 대한 위치 값을 측정하는 위치 측정부, 및 상기 제1 영상에 대해 뼈 절삭의 진행에 따라 변화하는 형상을 반영하여, 절삭 후 잔존하는 뼈에 대한 영상인 제2 영상을 획득하며, 상기 위치 측정부에 의해 측정된 절삭 후 뼈 표면의 복수의 포인트에 대한 위치를 측정하여 상기 제2 영상에 대해 위치 정합을 수행하는 정합 제어부를 포함한다.
