By omitting the use of a release paper which flutteringly extends outward in the longitudinal direction from a package sheet after opening or gets wrinkled by folding, advantages such as an improvement in the post-treatment properties of a used napkin are achieved. An absorbent article (1), which is folded into four or more in the longitudinal direction and thus individually packaged, comprising wing type flaps (W) and hip-holding flaps (WB) placed at both sides which are each folded onto the face in the side of a surface sheet (3), a release paper (11) for pressure-sensitive adhesive layer for preventing the misalignment of wing which releasably covers a pair of pressure-sensitive adhesive layers (8) for preventing the misalignment of wing, and a release paper (12) for pressure-sensitive adhesive layer for preventing the misalignment with hip which releasably covers a pair of pressure-sensitive adhesive layers (8B) for preventing the misalignment with hip, wherein the release papers (11, 12) are placed each at the intermediate position of the folding lines, and the release paper (12) is bonded to the inner face of a package sheet (10) extending backward from the absorbent article (1) while the release paper (11) is bonded to the outer face of the package sheet (10).
