For planting in particular noise protection walls and other building elements, there are provided chambers (1) which are limited within the areas (3) to be planted by lattices (4) in such a way that they can be penetrated by growing plants while keeping the substrate in place, indepently of their spatial position. For their irrigation, there are provided rain traps (10a) and wicks (9), preferably made of rock wool, which protrude into water basins (8).
