PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector made of a material suited to medical use, having superior productivity despite a slender body and enabling a firm connection, and to provide its formation method.SOLUTION: In the formation method of the connector 1 provided at the end portion of a tube 4 for use in a medical field, a base substance 2 made of PP (polypropylene) and having a tubular projection 23 with a shape the same as that of the tube 4 is mounted within a mold K, then a pin P having an outer diameter the same as that of the tube 4 is applied to the tubular projection 23 to protect the projection end, polybutadiene being a material the same as that of the tube and being a liquid state by being heated to a temperature higher than the melting point of the PP is injected into the mold K till embedding the pin P to a predetermined length, and while the outer circumferential face of the tubular projection 23 is dissolved by heat to form a resin mixing area layer 26, an adapter part 3 is provided to include at least the portion of the tubular projection 23 and to form a lumen area for inserting the tube 4 at the tip of the tubular projection.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT【課題】医療用に好適な素材であり、細身であっても生産性に優れかつ強固な接合を可能とするコネクタおよびその形成方法を提供すること。【解決手段】医療分野に用いられるチューブ4端部に設けられるコネクタ1の形成方法であって、金型Kに、チューブ4と同形の筒状凸部23を有するPP製の基体部2を装着し、次いで、筒状凸部23にチューブ4と同外径のピンPをあてがって凸端を保護し、チューブと同素材であってPPの融点より高温に加熱され液状となっているポリブタジエンを、金型K内にピンPが所定長さ埋入するまで注入し、筒状凸部23外周面を熱溶解させて樹脂の混成領域層26を形成しつつ、少なくとも筒状凸部23部分を内包し更にその先にチューブ4挿入用の内腔域が形成されるようにアダプタ部3を設けることを特徴とするコネクタ形成方法。【選択図】図3
