An oral gel composition capable of alleviating oral mucositis and its method of use are disclosed. The method comprises the following steps: first, using mouthwash to temporarily remove saliva, the mouthwash composition comprising water, sodium bicarbonate, sodium saccharin, trace amount of mint alcohol and food coloring blue 1 then, using the oral gel rinse to form a protection thin film for oral mucosa in the mouth, which can reduce external stimuli to thereby protect the mucosa from the mouth ulcers caused by any means, and alleviate the severe pains occurring to the mucosa due to contact, so as to make oral mucosa to self-accelerate the healing process, wherein, the oral gel rinse comprises water, polyvinylpyrrolidone K-90, calcium chloride, dipotassium glycyrrhizinate, benzalkonium chloride, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid disodium salt, potassium sorbate and propylene glycol.
