A surgical implant for insertion of the same into a biological lumen. The implant (900) has an outer ring (915) having an outer wall and an inner wall the outer ring disposed about a central axis. The implant further has a flexible inner ring (925) adjacent to the outer ring inner wall extending annularly from the inner wall toward the central axis (950) and defining an annular opening (960) about it. The implant comprises a first plurality of magnets (920) embedded in the flexible ring (925) and arranged annularly around the central axis, and a second plurality of magnets (930) disposed about the central axis and located between the opening (960) and the first plurality of magnets (920). The implant is acting as a valve biased to a closed state. The interaction between the pluralities of magnets is such that normal peristalsis forces individual magnets of the two pluralities of magnets to move away from each other thus creating an opening for the passage of food.Linvention concerne un implant chirurgical destiné à une insertion dans une lumière biologique.
