PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasound observation apparatus and the like which allow treatment using an ultrasound probe to be reliably performed while only an ultrasound image is being watched.SOLUTION: The ultrasound observation apparatus includes an ultrasound guide preparation device, in which ultrasound guide preparation device comprises: an ultrasound probe having an ultrasound transducer at a distal end of an insertion section thereof a treatment instrument and a guide tube having a probe insertion port through which the ultrasound probe can be inserted and a treatment instrument insertion port through which the treatment instrument can be inserted, and which generates an image signal, based on an ultrasound image acquired from the ultrasound probe.
