Described is a device comprising a transducer； a mounting assembly coupled to the transducer and configured to mount the transducer adjacent to or in contact with a portion of a user's body； the transducer configured to transmit an acoustic signal to a portion of the user's body and detect a reflected acoustic signal； and a processor in electronic communication with the transducer, the processor configured to determine a physiological parameter based on the reflected acoustic signal.
