PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous scaffold material having a shape suited to a regeneration part and yet having a porosity sufficient for cell culture.
SOLUTION: This porous scaffold material includes a hollow outer shell having the inside consisting of a porous body and filled with another porous body having a porosity larger than that of the outer shell. This porous scaffold material provides the outer shell with shape retention property capable of withstanding a pressure in a culture or implantation, while having a space with a large porosity and a sufficient cell density on the inside. The strength of the outer shell can be adjusted according to the kneading rate of porosity forming materials. This constitution can easily provide the porous scaffold material with the strength and shape fitted to an object to be applied.
