A green-roof planter assembly includes a first planter module and a secondplanter module each including a bottom wall and a plurality of side walls thatcooperatewith the bottom wall to form an interior space of the respective plantermodule, at leasta pair of the plurality of sidewalls of each of the modules cooperate to forma cornertherebetween having a length extending therealong, and wherein each of theplantermodules includes a relief located along a length of the respective corner. Theplanterassembly further includes a coupler member removably received within therelease ofeach of the planter modules, thereby inhibiting vertical movement of each ofthe plantermodules with respect to one another.
