The present invention relates to a medium for direct differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells derived from embryonic stem cells, a method for preparing mesenchymal stem cells using the same, a mesenchymal stem cell prepared thereby, and a cell therapeutic agent comprising the same. According to a medium composition and a method according to one aspect, mesenchymal stem cells can be prepared with a high yield in a short period of time.
