PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orotic acid-containing beverage in which an orotic acid is easily dissolved even when the orotic acid is mixed in a high concentration, which is excellent in storage stability after dissolved, and whose taste and flavor originated in the beverage are not spoiled.
SOLUTION: The beverage contains an orotic acid, and a basic amino acid or a basic peptide. A method for producing the orotic acid-containing beverage comprises a process for dissolving the orotic acid into liquid containing a beverage raw material, in the presence of the basic amino acid or the basic peptide.
