PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant capable of surely using a deodorizing effect of a divalent iron ion.
SOLUTION: A material containing a divalent iron ion, a &beta-ray emitting material, starch, and a vegetable fiber pulverized material are kneaded, while being given a given amount of water to make a mixture, and the mixture is formed in a predetermined form and dried, and then an essential oil is perfused in the mixture to make a deodorant 10A. The weight ratio of starch to the total weight of the mixture is in a range of 25.0-35.0 wt.%, and the weight ratio of the vegetable fiber pulverized material to the total weight of the mixture is in a range of 50.0-55.0 wt.%.
