PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed-leaving confirmation device which is inexpensive and can be easily attached to and detached from a bed, and the maintenance of which can be easily performed.SOLUTION: An elastic member (butterfly-shaped spring 23) provided in a bed 20 applies energy to the lower surface of a mattress 21 upward, which allows a gap 25 to be formed between the lower surface of a mattress 21 and the floor material of the bed 20 on which the mattress 21 is placed in the state that a person is not staying on the mattress 21. A bed-leaving confirmation device 1 is placed in the gap 25 of the bed 20.
