PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wooden structural material or an existing wooden structural part provided locally with rot-proofing and mildew-proofing treatment using an eluted copper ion, through localized treatment that does not require an advanced technique on or around a butt end of the wooden structural material.SOLUTION: A pure copper material or a copper alloy material is installed so as to adhere closely on or around a butt end of a wooden structural material or an existing wooden structural part, at a location that could become damp due to rainwater and other reasons.
