PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oral, topical or injectable composition for combating liver fluke parasites in mammals and also provide an improved method for eradicating and controlling parasite infections and infestations in a mammal comprising administering the composition of the invention to the mammal in need thereof.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, an oral, topical or injectable composition for combating liver fluke parasites in mammals comprises at least one benzimidazole derivative active agent (in particular, 6-chloro-5-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-trifluoromethylthiobenzimidazole).
