A method and system of aligning plurality of physically scaled mammography images within at least one viewport comprising: categorizing each mammography image to a corresponding mammography view； determining the image dimensions of each image based on the pixel spacing； choosing a first mammography image for each mammographic view based on the image dimensions； centering the first mammography image of each mammographic view within the at least one viewport； generating a virtual line across the at least one viewport along a boundary of the first mammography image； and aligning subsequent mammography images of the same mammographic view such that a boundary of the mammography image is aligned to the virtual line.L'invention concerne un procédé et un système pour aligner une pluralité d'images de mammographie mises à l'échelle physique dans au moins une fenêtre d'affichage, comprenant les étapes consistant : à catégoriser chaque image de mammographie dans une vue de mammographie correspondante； à déterminer les dimensions d'image de chaque image sur la base de l'espacement de pixels； à choisir une première image de mammographie pour chaque vue de mammographie sur la base des dimensions d'image； à centrer la première image de mammographie de chaque vue de mammographie à l'intérieur de la ou des fenêtres d'affichage； à générer une ligne virtuelle à travers la ou les fenêtres d'affichage le long d'un bord de la première image de mammographie； et à aligner des images de mammographie suivantes de la même vue de mammographie de telle sorte qu'un bord de l'image de mammographie est aligné avec la ligne virtuelle.
