A forehead-wearable light stimulator having one or more light pipes provides reliable light stimulation to a user. The stimulation can have high intensity and multiple colors. The intensity of the stimulation is less sensitive to device placement than in known light stimulators having no light pipes. The intensity is sufficient to deliver light through the eyelids, and is sufficient for the lights color to be perceived through the eyelids. The light stimulator improves on the state of the art, thereby enabling multiple new applications in the fields of biofeedback, lucid dreaming, and light-based alarms.
