The present invention relates to an asarum extract and its application. The extract may be used to promote the hypha growth and carpophore arising for mushroom and/or eliminate the activity of contaminating fungi during the cultivation process for mushroom. The cytotoxicity testing for asarum extract exhibits no toxicity and may enhance the immune function.
