The heated fishing reel comprises a reel casing, a handle, a side plate, a power source disposed in the fishing reel to provide power for a heating element disposed within one of a reel casing of the fishing reel or a side plate of the fishing reel. The system for heating the fishing reel comprises a plurality of heating elements and a power source disposed in the fishing reel for providing power to the plurality of heating elements. The heated handle assembly comprises a rocker arm, a knob attached to a distal end of the rocker arm, a heating element disposed in the knob, and a power source mounted in the knob for heating the knob.
