An implantable medical device comprises a stent having a covering portion and an uncoated portion. The covering portion is detachably attached to the non-covering portion. The covering member is arranged along the covering portion. The uncoated portion comprises a removal tab designed to allow the uncoated portion to be removed from the covering.
