PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To a protective body that achieves the whole weight reduction and yet further lightens an economical load when exchanged and a brush cutter equipped with the same.
SOLUTION: The protective body A includes a press metal fitting 3 that is mounted so as to be integrally rotated together with a drive shaft 2 in a state in which the drive shaft 2 of the brush cutter B is inserted into the pressing metal fitting, a protective part 5 made of a synthetic resin so as to hold the lower end part of the drive shaft 2, and a connection structure for detachably connecting the press metal fitting 3 to the protective part 5, and rotates the protective part 5 integrally with the drive shaft 2 in a state in which the press metal fitting 3 is linked to the protective part 5.
