The invention provides a double bearing fishing reel having a depth water display portion and an actuating mechanism prone to process switch operation of the actuating mechanism. The double bearing fishing reel includes a handle, a fishing reel main body, a winding reel for winding, a depth water display portion, a winding reel sound mechanism and a sound operation button. The fishing reel main body includes a first side cover having a projection portion projecting toward side part and covering outside of the first side broad. The depth water display portion is accommodated in the projection and linked to rotation of the winding reel to display depth water where a fishhook assembly in electronic way. The winding reel sound mechanism, which is linked to the rotation of the winding reel to sound, is a mechanism switching between a sounding state and a non-sounding state.
