PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reference deformable body the type of which can be identified, an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus which identifies the type of the reference deformable body, and an ultrasonic diagnostic method.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes: an ultrasonic probe 3 having an ultrasonic wave transmitting/receiving surface on which a reference deformable body 16 is attached； tomogram constructing parts 6 and 7 for transmitting/receiving an ultrasonic wave to/from a subject via the reference deformable body 16 and producing a tomogram on the basis of RF signal frame data of a tomographic region of the subject； and a display unit 14 for displaying the tomogram. The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus further includes: a storage section for storing the relationship between an ID given to the reference deformable body 16 and the type of the reference deformable body 16； and a type identifying section for reading out the type of the reference deformable body 16 corresponding to the ID of the reference deformable body 16 which is attached to the ultrasonic probe 3 from the storage section and identifying the type of the reference deformable body.【課題】種類を特定できる参照変形体、参照変形体の種類を特定する超音波診断装置及び超音波診断方法を提供する。【解決手段】参照変形体16が超音波送受信面に装着された超音波探触子3と、参照変形体16を介して被検体に超音波を送受信し、被検体の断層部位のRF信号フレームデータに基づいて断層画像を生成する断層画像構成部6,7と、断層画像を表示する表示部14とを備えた超音波診断装置において、参照変形体16に付与されたIDと参照変形体16の種類との関係を記憶する記憶部と、超音波探触子3に装着された参照変形体16のIDに対応する参照変形体16の種類を記憶部から読み出し、参照変形体の種類を特定する種類特定部とを備える。【選択図】図１
