The present invention relates to a two-dimensional X-ray detector incorporating a region of interest table for a region of interest and a size thereof so that the position and size of the region of interest can be changed every frame, and a cone beam CT apparatus using the same and an operation method thereof. It is possible to acquire the area projection data at a high resolution and reduce the amount of projection data by acquiring the projection data outside the area of interest by applying a binning method to the projection data outside the area of interest projected by the X-관심 영역의 위치 및 크기를 매 프레임마다 변경시킬 수 있도록 관심 영역 및 크기에 대한 관심영역 테이블을 내장한 2차원 엑스선 디텍터와 이를 이용한 콘빔 CT 장치 및 그 동작 방법에 관한 것으로서, 설정된 관심 영역에 따른 관심 영역 투영 데이터를 고해상도로 획득하고, 관심 외 영역으로 조사된 엑스선에 의해 투영된 관심 영역 외 투영 데이터에 비닝(binning) 방법을 적용하여 저해상도로 획득하여 투영 데이터의 양을 축소시킬 수 있다.
