A surgical device includes a rotatable shaft and a turbine assembly. The rotatable shaft includes a cutter positioned thereon. The cutter is configured to cut an object while the shaft is rotating around the axis of rotation. The turbine assembly includes a turbine and a turbine housing. The turbine housing is configured to receive a fluid entering the housing parallel to the axis of rotation and to direct the fluid to impinge on the turbine in the direction not parallel to the axis of rotation.
