The present invention relates to a novel Bacillus pumilus BD 129 strain having an effect of controlling growth of Phytophthora capsici by occupying a spawn of Phytophthora capsici, and to a method for controlling Phytophthora capsici, which is characterized by using the novel strain. The strain of the present invention not only has an effect of controlling Phytophthora capsici bacteria by being specifically attached to a spawn of Phytophthora capsici bacteria, but also has an effect of preventing deposition of toxi materials in human and livestock by using organic synthetic agricultural pesticides. Moreover, the strain can be supplied at lower costs so as to be expected to bring a large effect in increasing harvest of pepper.본 발명은 고추 역병의 균사를 점유하여 고추 역병의 생육을 억제하는 효과를 갖는 바실러스 푸밀러스 BD129 신균주 및 상기 신균주를 이용하는 것을 특징으로 하는 고추 역병의 방제방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 균주는 고추 역병균의 균사에 특이적으로 달라붙어 고추 역병균에 대한 방제 효과를 가지고 있을 뿐만 아니라 유기합성 농약의 사용으로 인하여 인,축에 유독성 물질이 축적되는 것을 방지할 수 있는 효과가 있다. 또한, 상기 균주를 저렴한 가격으로 보급할 수 있어 고추의 수확 증가에 큰 효과를 가져 올 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
