PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging system and a processing apparatus which can set a pulse width capable of acquiring an image that achieves both brightness of the image and suppression of afterimage generation.SOLUTION: An imaging system comprises: an imaging unit for imaging an imaged object and outputting an imaging signal； a light source for generating pulse light； a brightness evaluation unit for detecting brightness of an image corresponding to the imaging signal, and calculating a brightness evaluation value； an afterimage evaluation unit for evaluating a size of an afterimage in the image corresponding to the imaging signal, and outputting the evaluation result as an afterimage evaluation value； a pulse width calculation unit for calculating a pulse width of the pulse light on the basis of the brightness evaluation value and the afterimage evaluation value； and a light source control unit for controlling the light source so as to generate pulse light with the pulse width calculated by the pulse width calculation unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
