<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orchid appreciation system completely free from the need of control such as watering, enabling enjoyment of flowers for a long period, and capable of suppressing invasion of various germs as much as possible and retaining an aseptic condition for a long period by setting a vent hole on a cover so as not to cause an air pressure difference in the outside and inside of a container and arranging a sterilizer-containing air permeable filling material in the vent hole. ??<P>SOLUTION: A culture medium for orchid cultivation is obtained by lowering the concentration at least of total nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in a Vacin-Went standard culture medium. The orchid appreciation system is composed of a sealable transparent container, the culture medium for orchid cultivation, placed on the bottom of the container and described in claim 3, an orchid individual planted on the culture medium, and a sealing cap.
