A mobile application framework is provided for evaluating pain and emotional state of a patient remotely. The mobile application uses hardware commonly existing in smartphones and tablet devices such as microphones and cameras to capture speech and gestures which form indicia for computation analysis and quantification of pain levels and emotional states of the user. The user may be prompted to read a preset dialog standardized from a statistically meaningful population for pain and emotion analysis. Such physical manifestations of pain indicia are then stored, transmitted and reported to health care providers to adjust patient care or initiate intervention. The user may also self-report pain and emotional state through the mobile application which therefore provides both subjective and objective data to health care providers. Additionally, self-reporting and computationally derived values may adjust a machine learning algorithm to enhance accuracy as data accumulates.L'invention concerne un cadre d'application mobile destiné à évaluer la douleur et l'état émotionnel d'un patient à distance.
