PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscopic treatment instrument which displays information on a selection function in an endoscopic image.SOLUTION: A surgical system includes: the endoscopic treatment instrument having a treatment part with at least one treatment function at a distal end for treating a subject by the treatment function selected by the treatment part an endoscope inserted into the endoscopic treatment instrument for imaging the subject through an observation surface provided at the distal end portion of the endoscope and a display mechanism which displays the information on the selection function indicating the treatment function selected by the treatment part in the endoscopic image captured by the endoscope through the observation surface.
