An agricultural machine is proposed with a chassis (7,8) and a wheel mounting assembly connecting at least one running wheel (19, 20) to the chassis such that it can rotate about an axis of rotation, and providing the running wheel or wheels with two degrees of freedom relative to the chassis and the wheel mounting assembly including a ball joint (21) with three degrees of freedom mounted to the chassis (7,8,15) and operably connected to the running wheel or wheels (19,20) and a restraining device (22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27) connected both to the ball joint (21) and to the chassis (7,8,15) such that it limits one of the three degrees of freedom of the ball joint and thus of the running wheel or wheels (19, 20) relative to the chassis.
