CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for promoting osteogenesis contains one or more selected from the group consisting of a compound denoted by chemical formula I or physiologically acceptable salt thereof, a hydrate, and glycoside. The composition additionally contains one or more selected from the group consisting of a compound denoted by chemical formula II, or physiologically acceptable salt thereof, a hydrate, and glycoside. The pharmaceutical composition also contains a fraction derived from an organ selected from the group consisting of Magnolia family plant buds, leaves, barks, or wood parts. Functional food and Health food contain the composition.본 발명은 미량에서도 골밀도를 상승시키는 것과 동시에 골의 성장을 촉진하는 작용을 하고 있으며, 부작용이 적은 조성물, 이의 조성물을 유효 성분으로 함유하는 골 형성 촉진용 약학용 제제, 기능성 식품 및 건강 식품을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.상기 조성물은 목련과 식물은 꽃봉오리, 잎, 수피 또는 목부에서 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 하나의 기관으로부터 얻을 수 있다. 그리고, 상기 조성물은 파르게신, 이의 생리적으로 허용되는 염, 수화물 및 배당체로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 어느 것을 적어도 1 종 이상 함유한다. 이러한 조성물을 유효 성분으로 함유하는 상기 약학용 제제, 기능성 식품 및 건강 식품은 미량이라도 충분히 골밀도를 향상시키고 골의 성장을 촉진시키기 위하여, 골조로증을 비롯한 골질환 등을 예방 및/또는 치료하는 효과를 발휘한다.
