A nappy (10) having a vertical direction (Y) a transverse direction (X) and a front-back direction comprises: a front panel (20) which covers the front waist region of a wearer, a rear panel (30) which covers the rear waist region of the wearer and a crotch panel (40) which connects with the front panel and the rear panel and covers the crotch region of the wearer. A rear waist region cover section (12) having dimensions in the vertical direction (Y) substantially the same as the dimensions of the front panel, and a buttocks cover section (50) which extends below the rear waist region cover section (12) and covers at least part of the buttocks of the wearer, are formed in the rear panel (30). The crotch panel is provided with: an absorbent core (41) which extends in the front-back direction, and gasket cuff sections (70) which extend in the front-back direction along both sides of the absorbent core (41), and which comprise gasket elastic bodies (71) which can elastically contract in the front-back direction. The buttock cover section is provided with a buttock cover elastic body (51) which extends in the transverse direction.
