PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater to be used for sealing and connecting a plastic tube for peritoneal dialysis, which is better in durability and more accurate in temperature control.
SOLUTION: A wafer 14 is heated by and between a pair of heater assemblies 16. Each heater assembly 16 has a heating element 20 consisting of a heating wire and a thermocouple which are buried in a sealing agent layer. The heating element 20 is held suspended by a fixing member 22 at one free end of an elastic support plate 18. The wafer 14 is heated by the heating element 20 between the pair of heater assemblies 16 so that the wafer 14 surfaces can be in close contact with the opposing faces of those heating elements 20.
