PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical system and an operation method of instruments such as a treatment instrument which can easily change directions and positions/postures of the treatment instrument or the like while maintaining a direction of an insertion part.SOLUTION: A medical system is provided with: a sheath tube 11； a treatment instrument channel 16； a treatment instrument 30 inserted in the treatment instrument channel 16； and a holder 20 provided for the sheath tube 11. The holder 20 has: a grip part 26 for holding the treatment instrument 30； and a joint 22 for moving the grip part 26 with respect to the sheath tube 11.
