The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating inflammatory diseases, which comprises a compound isolated from Amomi tsao-ko and having an excellent effect of treating inflammatory diseases or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a sanitary-aid composition or health-aid food composition for preventing or treating the compound or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a method for treating inflammatory diseases in animals, which comprises a step of administering the pharmaceutical composition to a subject other than a human, suspected of inflammatory diseases. The composition according to the present invention is useful for preventing, treating or improving inflammatory diseases. The active ingredient, 2,8-decadiene-1,10-diol, according to the present invention is a naturally occurring compound isolated from a fraction of an ethanol extract of Amomi tsao-ko and provides a safe therapeutic agent having little side effects as compared to synthetic medicines.본 발명은 초과로부터 분리한 우수한 염증성 질환 치료 효과가 있는 화합물 또는 이의 약학적으로 허용 가능한 염을 포함하는 염증성 질환의 예방 또는 치료용 약학적 조성물, 상기 화합물 또는 이의 약학적으로 허용가능한 염을 포함하는 염증성 질환의 예방 또는 개선용 의약외품 조성물 및 건강기능식품 조성물 및 상기 약학적 조성물을 인간을 제외한 염증성 질환 의심개체에 투여하는 단계를 포함하는 동물의 염증성 질환 치료 방법에 관한 것이다.본 발명에 따른 조성물은 염증성 질환의 예방, 치료 또는 개선용으로 유용하게 사용할 수 있으며, 본 발명의 유효성분인 2,8-데카디엔-1,10-디올(2,8-decadiene-1,10-diol) 화합물은 초과 에탄올 추출물의 분획물로부터 분리한 천연물 유래의 화합물로서, 합성 의약품에 비하여 부작용의 염려가 없는 안전한 치료제를 제공할 수 있다.
