PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an outdoor unit and an air conditioner which prevent small animals from entering inside an electric component box which stores electric components and also preventing deterioration in performance caused by a reduction in compressor rotational frequency in high outside air temperature.
SOLUTION: The outdoor unit inludes an opening/closing mechanism at an opening part of the electric component box. An opening/closing part is composed of shutters, and the opening part includes an outside air intake port. The intake port and an exhaust port are respectively provided with two overlapped wire nets composed of metals different in the ionization tendencies. The wire net may have a one-sheet composition in which the metals with the different ionization tendencies are alternately arranged.
