PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen generator capable of prolonging the life of its adsorbent.SOLUTION: In the step 100, a power switch 47 is set to OFF and it is determined whether or not the operation time of the oxygen concentrator is not longer than 1 hour. In the step 110, it is determined whether or not it is timing to switch three-way valves 7, 9. In the step 120, a solenoid open/close valve 37 is set to ON to shut off a flow path 35. In the step 130, it is determined whether or not the oxygen generator has been in operation for not shorter than 1 hour since the issuance of the latest instruction to stop its operation. In the step 140, a compressor 5 is stopped because the oxygen concentrator has been in operation for 1 hour or longer. In the step 150, an equalizing valve 19 is kept in an open state longer than usual. In the step 160, it is determined whether or not it is timing to stop the device, and the timing to stop the device is awaited.
