PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bone regenerating material containing a biodegradable fiber which exhibits antibacterial properties early after surgery. A method for producing a bone regenerating material having antibacterial properties containing biodegradable fibers, having an outer diameter of 10 to 100 μm, at least 30% by weight of biodegradable resin, and 40 calcium compound particles. By the step of immersing the biodegradable fiber in an inositol phosphate solution, and then immersing it in a solution containing silver ions, the biodegradable fiber is contained in an amount of at least 10 wt% and the calcium compound particles are partially exposed on the surface. A bone regenerating material having antibacterial properties including fibers is manufactured.
