PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crop alignment mechanism capable of highly accurately sorting delicate crops with spherical shapes especially such as tomatoes and minitomatoes in each size without damaging the crops, and to provide a crop sorting apparatus using the crop alignment mechanism.SOLUTION: A crop alignment mechanism installed in a crop sorting apparatus includes: a plurality of spindles which are driven so as to be moved upward along a conveyance direction inclined from a horizontal direction at a predetermined angle and are extended in a direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction cylindrical rollers rotatably supported on respective peripheries of the plurality of spindles and extended over the approximately whole length of the spindle tables rotatably supported by respective spindles to mount a plurality of crops, arranged in the conveyance direction upstream of each roller and having approximately the same length as the roller and a pair of friction tubes arranged along the conveyance direction so as to press upper surfaces of both end parts of the rollers. When the plurality of spindles are moved upward, the rollers are rotated on the opposite side of the conveyance direction on abutting points on the friction tubes.
