The present invention relates to a method for coating seeds having a wax layer on the surface thereof, and coated seeds manufactured thereby. According to the present invention, the method may improve a seedling establishment ratio and realize manpower reduction through the prevention of damage by birds. Moreover, the method provides an advantageous effect that the seeds are prevented from moving by various external causes due to the increased weight of seeds, and that growth of crops is promoted, so the method can be usefully applied to seed coating of smooth crops, such as soybean, having a wax layer.
