[Problem] The purpose of the present invention is to provide: lactic acid bacteria that has a high capacity to promote hyaluronic acid production, that belongs to the Lactobacillus genus, and that is suitable for use in food and beverages； and a food/beverage containing a processed product thereof. [Solution] The present invention was accomplished by focusing on hyaluronic acid being indispensable to the improvement of skin function and discovering, as a result of screening a plurality of lactic acid bacteria, that there is lactic acid bacteria having a high capacity to promote hyaluronic acid production. The present invention provides lactic acid bacteria that has a high capacity to promote hyaluronic acid production and that belongs to the Lactobacillus genus, namely, the present invention provides the Lactobacillus gasseri N320 strain (NITE BP-02287).
