The present invention relates to a rotating body weight support unit of a robot for gait training. The body weight support unit of an apparatus for gait training, on which a trainee sits while resting the trainee&primes body thereon, for conducting gait training includes a rotating means for rotating the body weight support unit of the apparatus for gait training, wherein the rotating means includes a rotating table which is connected to a lower part of the body weight support unit, a driving means which is connected to the rotating table for allowing the rotating table to rotate, and a control unit for controlling the driving of the driving means. The rotating body weight support unit enables a trainee to ride in front of the apparatus for gait training by rotating the body weight support unit, thereby removing the conventional wheelchair runway.
