The device (1) has a tube (4) forming a main channel (5) and intended to be connected via its distal end (3) to an airway of a patient. A downstream auxiliary channel (8) is connected with a respiratory gas source to continuously infuse a downstream jet of respiratory gas to a respiratory system. An upstream auxiliary channel (17) is connected with the respiratory gas source to infuse an upstream jet of respiratory gas in the main channel. An upstream recess (22) is arranged between a distal end (17d) of the upstream auxiliary channel and a proximal end (2) of the main channel.- Selon l'invention, le dispositif (1) comporte un tube (4) formant un canal principal (5), des canaux auxiliaires aval (8) et amont (17) reliés à une source de gaz respiratoire (S) pour pouvoir insuffler des jets aval (F1) et amont (F2) opposés d'un tel gaz respiratoire dans le canal principal (5) et des moyens de déflexion aval (13) et amont (22) respectivement des jets aval (F1) et amont (F2) en direction de l'intérieur dudit canal principal (5).
